CHMBR GROUP LTD ("we", "us", "our"), a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17052223) whose registered office is at 20 Wenlock Road, London, N1 7GU, operates the chmbr.net platform and all *.chmbr.net community apps. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal data when you use our services, whether as a creator running a community or a member joining one.

2. What data we collect

We collect the following categories of personal data:

Account information — name, email address, and profile data provided during sign-up (managed by our authentication provider, Clerk).
Payment information — billing details processed by Stripe. We do not store card numbers on our servers.
Usage data — pages visited, features used, and interactions within the platform, collected via Vercel Analytics.
Content — text, images, audio, and other media uploaded by creators to their community apps.
Device information — browser type, operating system, and push notification subscription data (for delivering notifications you opt into).

3. How we use your data

To provide, maintain, and improve the CHMBR platform
To process payments and manage subscriptions
To send transactional emails (account confirmations, billing receipts)
To deliver push notifications you have opted into
To respond to support enquiries
To detect and prevent fraud or abuse

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for targeted advertising.

Sanity — content management and data storage
Vercel — hosting and analytics

5. Data retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it for longer. Content uploaded by creators is retained until the creator deletes it or their community is removed.

Data portability — receive your data in a structured format
Withdraw consent at any time (where processing is based on consent)

We use essential cookies required for authentication and session management. We use Vercel Analytics for basic, anonymised usage metrics. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels.

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, including encryption in transit (TLS), secure authentication, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

CHMBR is not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
